Nobody wants to hear this but . . . A lot of this gun craze is steeped in racism.

Now before folks think that I'm painting ALL Gun owners with a racist brush . . . let me say clearly: I'm absolutely NOT!

I'm referring to the phenomena of gun and ammunition sales spiking to unheard-of levels ever since Barrack Obama won . . . and I feel that I must offer but one of the reasons, that I think, this is occurring . . .

Folks President Obama may be in trouble with the Public

They blame him for not getting the economy fixed . . . and although they should care about what Romney did, in that his type of capitalism is what has caused the decline of the economy . . . they don't seem to care (Laziness perhaps? Easier to blame One Guy than to parse the records of more than five hundred (500)?)!

Infection

A few weeks ago a mentally-ill man went to the latest Batman premiere and shot and killed twelve (12) people.  Before that, there was the man that almost killed Gabby Giffords and killed six (6) others.

There was wall to wall coverage on the news, both times . . . all sorts of whimsical quandaries about ‘what makes these people do these things?!’; Joe Scarborough even offered, what he thought was, a sympathetic ‘explanation’ . . .

“He might have been autistic . . .”

Didn’t work out to well for him . . . the backlash was swift, because the pain was too near, his ‘calculation’ too well documented.

But I digress . . .

A Rose in Bad Ground . . . is Still A Rose

The Rose in this situation just needs a little protection and TLC to really come into it's own . . .

The Economy is recovering but it is still bad.

When it is so . . . the incumbent(Which is presently Obama) normally get's the boot.

The alternative, who are good at messaging and making noise, are the fucking 'Gestapo'.

The Gestapo is not good for ANY of us . . . especially the 'upset at Obama liberals'. The Gestapo will be FAR WORSE than Obama.

Time For "SEAL Team Six"

Gallup came out with some new polls that show Romney and President Obama neck and neck, some with the former ahead.  Now some of you politicos out there might be fuming right now about what and where did they poll.

"Did they not SEE this Primary!?"

You might have a point in terms of sample size, locations drawn from and the ideological bent of the polling company.  But most likely . . . the results are PRECISELY what IS going on across the country.

This is my fourth piece in my Dramatic Poetry pieces with various Characters issuing their own social commentary on the world and country we live in.  This one however has a Caribbean point of view to it in 'lingo' and in view.  I've written this in the vernacular(as true as it is in in my own Caribbean ear!) of the broken English 'patois' or Dialect, endemic to many Anglophone, former British Colonies in the West Indies or the Caribbean.  One of the more famous of these places is Jamaica . . . so think of the accent and intonations when you are reading this.  Now here we have . . .

Conservatives have been, in the wake of Rush's implosion, braying about Bill Maher and what he said about Palin and Bachmann at various times.

And some Liberal Women's groups have been JOINING THEM! So much so, that Ed Rendell recently confronted the Obama SuperPac folks with the fact that some actually are demanding that they GIVE BACK Maher's much-publicized contribution.

I feel, lately, like I've been standing tied up downwind, while all manner of bigoted incarnations past and present, even germinating forms of the future, are yelled full force into my face.

I'm drenched in the spittle of hateful rhetoric.

On Racism . . .

As a Black Man ... I have absolutely been horrified at the level of blatant racial dog whistling ... and even out right racism that has come from the Right ever since Obama announced his candidacy and it has gotten worse!
